Ed Safe is the creation of Derek Havelock, a teacher with 25 years of experience in the field of education.

Originally from Newcastle, England, Derek has taught in England, Madagascar, South Korea and Vietnam. His teaching specialisms are Business, IT, and Product & Digital Design. He holds qualifications in Data Protection and Service Design in addition to being a qualified teacher, and is registered with the UK’s ICO as the DPO for Ed Safe Ltd.

Derek is currently working in Vietnam, teaching Digital Design in a Cognita-Group school. He is also appointed as one of the many volunteer Cognita Cybersecurity champions.
